New Changes at Zen Motors 09/08/2011
I just wanted to let everyone know that we have expanded and now have a 10,000 sq. ft. facility. We are bringing in a few new services as well which will include custom painting, metal polishing, wire tucks, wheel/tire mounting and balancing, window tinting, and so much more. We also want to formally welcome, Michael Taylor aka Bucky from SuperStar Customs. He is a great guy and has done great work for us in the past. We are very happy to have him apart of our team and look forward to putting him to work! We planned on hosting this photoshoot 2 months ago, but unfortunately, mr. weather man rained on our parade. errr let me rephrase that. There were signs of rain, and as most Atliens know, you can never trust the weather man. The shoot ended up being cancelled due to the thought of rain that never came. lol. So we waited and waited and waited. Finally, the first Sunday in August came around and sure enough, rain was in the near future. lol. This time around, everyone was committed regardless of a little drip or 2. Chad of Chadbee Photography brought his gear and got everything set up, from still shots to rolling shots to NOS Energy shots! We had a good amount of evo's come by and already had a few at the shop as well. Gotta love building a 2.4L 800+ awhp evo monster, but we'll get more to that in another blog. Evo owners started showing up around 1pm and continued to do so for the next few hours. Meanwhile, everyone was hanging out, chilling, talking, taking pics, and sweating profusely. I want to thank everyone who came out to show their support for EvoAtlanta.com, Chadbee Photography and ofcourse Zen Motors. here's a few of the pics taken during the shoot. if you want posters, hit up Chad. As many of you know, I have been in the IS game since the beginning. I bought my 02 IS 5speed new back in the day and it has gone through hell and back and back to hell again and back and so forth. Currently, my IS is torn down, had the engine out for a complete new build, had the engine bay painted GGP to match the car, and was about to start putting it all back together with a whole bunch of new stuff, then i bought an 02 sportcross. We already have an 04 sportx, but when i saw this one, all i could think of is how sick would it be to have 2 sportx's lol. so on to my dilemma.... do i stay on track with the sedan? ORRRRR, do i take everything from the sedan and move it into the sportx?? any feedback is welcome. the plan was to build a 900 rwhp street car in my sedan... im thinking it would be 10 times sicker to build a 900 rwhp sportx! Import Alliance Nashville 2011 08/10/2011
We decided to go and we are so happy we did. Granted, it was packed with Hondas, but is that really such a bad thing? We all started somewhere, some of us started with hotrods, some of us started tinkering with our first daily's, some of us started with 240s, and some of us started with Hondas. At the end of the day, the way I see it, we all share one common thing, we love modding our cars! Whether it is with taste or with your taste, modding a car is like shaping a girl into a woman. Some may prevail at this task the first go around, while many others will take several attempts to create their final vision. Import Alliance is basically an event that brings all different walks of the import scene under one roof, or I should say within one gigantic oval track, the Nashville Speedway. People brought their cars in all different shapes, sizes, finishes, and styles. It was great to see thousands of enthusiasts all together. We look forward to more of these events and plan on attending more in the future. I didn't get to take many pics, but I am sure you guys know how to search the internet to find some. Here's a few from the trip. MeisterSchaft Section 1 & 2 for sale 08/10/2011
BMW E60 M5 Owners looking for an exhaust, a customer of ours is selling his MeisterSchaft section 1 and section 2 exhaust midpipes. He is looking to get $1300 cash. slightly used but in good working condition. First Post! 06/16/2011
To start this blog, we recently installed rear overfenders on to a S2000. We had to cut out the rear quarter panels, re-weld the sheet metal back together, thread cert the fender flares on, and then a lot of trimming to eliminate scrubbing. Unfortunately, the body shop that the customer used didn't match the paint so well. Hopefully they will redo it for them... Here are a few pics.
